SassyLAB increased their conversion rate 2.5x by launching a mobile app
When SassyLAB analyzed the competitive landscape of their industry, they knew a mobile app would help them reach their customers.
Today, app users are the first to hear about new items, receive special offers, and get their hands on the best secondhand fashion.
Additionally, users can utilize SassyLAB's app to register as a seller, get in touch to add items, and receive a commission for each item sold.
Looking at the analytics, I'm always amazed by how the app performs. We are constantly trying to find more ways to utilize the app in the best possible way.
Our customers in the app have had very positive feedback!

About SassyLAB
SassyLAB is a Danish secondhand fashion & apparel retailer. They started back in 2021 as an alternative to the classic secondhand platforms where you buy directly from other people.
With SassyLAB every piece of clothing is quality checked, photographed and professionally prepared for sale. Additionally they provide a 30 day return policy, meaning customers have plenty of time to try on the item.
Background
In the secondhand fashion market, consumers are used to scroll through a long list of items in app-based platforms. SassyLAB saw an opportunity to meet their customers where they start their online shopping journey: by searching for an app to browse secondhand clothing.
They looked into several options, including hiring an app developer to build a custom app from scratch.
We wanted to meet our potential customers where they search for secondhand clothing. However, launching a mobile app sounded like a huge project!
Solution
SassyLAB chose BravoShop as the mobile app platform to build their app. Due to BravoShop's easy-to-use platform, they were able to launch the app in less than a month.
When I first started researching how to launch an app, I had no clue where to start. BravoShop provided several step-by-step guides to help me do what I needed to do. Combined with the excellent support we received from Lukas, launching the app was simple.
With SassyLAB's brand new app, they were able to better engage with both new and existing customers.
Today they utilize BravoShop's push notification engine to notify app customers the minute new items are added to their shop.
Recommendations
When launching an app, it's important to not just let it sit there. You need to present it to your customers, especially the customers who already like your brand.
We include a link to our app in almost all our email newsletters. This means existing customers are reminded to download the app.
And new customers, who come in from the website, discover that we have an app.
SassyLAB do a great job of marketing their app to both existing and new customers. When people search for secondhand app on Google, SassyLAB shows up as the first result.
